McCabe & Associates, Inc. provides Mount Holly’s Historic Preservation Commission ongoing technical assistance as they carry out the duties established by the local Historic Preservation ordinance. We work with many homeowners helping them follow the Secretary of the Interior Standards during the rehabilitations of their historic buildings. We have offered design reviews for projects involving the 1815 Farmers and Mechanics bank on Mill Street and the façade renovation at 24-26 Mill Street. We reviewed applications regarding a new fence at a Garden Street residence, a new synthetic slate roof at a High Street residence, and a rehabilitation at 215 Garden Street, part of the Neighborhood Preservation Program. As a special project, we crafted a Historic Structure Report of the historic Mill Race, dug in 1723.
